A songstress born to Aihe (meaning dolphin) from the Muuri village and Malakai, the brother of Makau. Takanga spends equal time between Maji ya bluu and Muuri where she was born. She was born during a rare blue moon that occurs once every 3600 years, and her mother gave birth in the sea. It is said that a family of dolphins approached after Aihe gave birth bringing a lapis lazuli necklace as a gift. It was placed around Takanga's neck and her eyes began to glow with a blue color almost immediately.
